At 27 years old, Jordan Burger is one of the new young up-and-coming agents bent on making an impact in his industry. Burger is originally from New York City, and went on to attend Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While at college he interned at various record labels and concert promotion agencies, and also coordinated major concerts for national entertainers that appeared for students on campus. In April of 1993, he discovered a little unknown act named Evan and Jaron playing as an acoustic duo under the name "Durable PhigLeaf." He was fast to make friends with them, and helped them get various gigs on Emory's campus and locally. Jordan started working the day after his graduation in 1995 for a concert promoter named Wallace Barr. While acting as his assistant, Barr allowed him to explore being an agent ‹ which is what he had wanted to do with Evan and Jaron. He started booking them up and down the East Coast and also signed a number of other acts to expand his agency. He picked up Angie Aparo (who eventually signed to Melisma/Arista), Edith's Wish (who signed with Arista), and SOUP (Phoenix Rising). As the bands signed to major labels, he came to realize that if he didn't align with a major agency and increase his knowledge and contacts, he'd lose the acts. So in May 1998, Jordan joined Pinnacle Entertainment as the agent for the Southeast and Midwest territories, booking all the acts on their roster such as Kid Rock, Sugar Ray, Oasis, Rob Zombie, Filter, Henry Rollins, Travis, and more. In April of 2000, he decided to strike back out on his own utilizing the contacts and knowledge that he picked up in his two years at Pinnacle, and set up office space on 30th and Park Avenue in New York City. Evan and Jaron, Angie Aparo, SOUP and Edith's Wish were all eager to rejoin him in his new venture. In addition, he has since signed Diffuser (a rock band getting great radio play on a well-done job by Hollywood Records), Wax Poetic (a dancy/jazzy/trip hop/soul act on Atlantic Records), The Prodigals (a high energy Irish band drawing in large numbers in major markets), Home Grown (a pop-punk band formerly on Geffen Records and part of the now-defunct Tahoe Agency), Tin Hat Trio (a critically acclaimed chamber/jazz trio from San Francisco on Angel/Capitol), and Jbender (managed by TBA Entertainment and signed to Columbia; releasing their first single in March 2001). Jordan told CelebrityAccess "I am so happy to be back out on my own, and I've been very appreciative of the kind words and support I've received from so many members of the industry whom I have looked up to for a long time now. Mostly, I'm just very thankful that these amazing artists, who I have the pleasure of calling my clients and who I firmly believe are about to achieve greatness on many levels, are showing their faith in me, and allowing me the opportunity to be a part of the next stages of their careers."
